The North Canterbury Sports Trust (NCST) has expanded the facilities at Rangiora MainPower Stadium with the addition of an EOS Sauna, RCM Fitness Room, and a cold-water Immersion Therapy Shower, enhancing the wellness experience for Fitness Centre members.
The motivation for adding the EOS Sauna to the MainPower Stadium facilities came after staff noticed - and members openly shared - that many were driving to the smaller Flaxton Road EOS sauna after their workouts!
With membership steadily growing and Sauna Culture on the rise, the decision was made to create a large, luxurious, traditional sauna space that's bright, welcoming, and available to members 12-15 hours a day.
Architects, Designers, Engineers, Builders, and Coombes Aquatics joined forces to deliver a complete sauna experience that not only meets the venue's daily demands but also enhances and complements the busy MainPower Stadium Fitness Centre.
The finished sauna ticks all the boxes, with members' feedback overwhelmingly positive - including one Finnish exchange student who declared it the nicest and most authentic sauna she's ever experienced.
Spacious, accessible, and traditionally lined in sustainable kiln-dried Finnish Sauna wood, it beautifully reflects the colourful LED lighting and delivers a deeply soothing warmth. A true tribute to the North Canterbury Sports Trust team's sauna vision.
