Coombes Aquatics (CAL ) Engineering and Stainless-Steel workshops are based at our Riccarton, Christchurch premises. These two busy workshops manufacture the MacBall Thermal pool covers and complimentary reel system range for our New Zealand client base and Australian distributors. The engineering workshop is also kept busy servicing and assembling the thousands of NZ-wide commercial and residential ROBO, robotic pool cleaners, we have sold over the last decade. The super-accurate BECS chemical controller range is also assembled and prepared for site installation in our Christchurch workshop.
The Christchurch workshop team oversees the renowned German EOS Sauna heaters and Steam generator wellness range and despatches the beautiful imported kiln-dried Scandinavian sauna wood. Then there is the plethora of pool parts and specialist pool equipment; valves, flanges, pipes, pumps, generators, filters, and heat pumps, which all have to be carefully sized and selected according to the water space. When we are refurbishing an older, commercial, community, or school pool, and we can't find a specific part, then our stainless-steel workshop engineers are enlisted to manufacture the required solution!
The CAL Stainless-Steel workshop also manufactures; swimming pool handrails, ladders, grab rails and step railings, lane rope anchors, lane rope reels, equalizer grills, lint pots, and the super versatile Autowinder or Poolie Pal (Australia), mobile winch system for reeling in 20m plus MacBall Thermal pool covers. As a company, we value material, water, and chemical sustainability, and if our Stainless -steel workshop can upcycle an existing pool fitting for a client, we will endeavour to upcycle it.
