Coombes Aquatics warmly welcomes the Recreation Aotearoa Waves August 20-22, 2025, conference delegates to Christchurch, New Zealand.
We are excited to showcase Canterbury's new innovative aquatic water spaces and our refurbished aquatic facilities to delegates, as well as share in the "Ta-Da" excitement of the forthcoming opening of the Parakiore Sport Facility.
Parakiore will be New Zealand’s largest aquatics and sports complex. This state-of-the-art facility features a 10-lane 50m competition pool, a dedicated diving pool, five waterslides, learn-to-swim, sensory, family, and hydrotherapy pools. Designed for everyone from Olympic-level swimmers to families, it offers an unparalleled aquatic experience.
Coombes Aquatics has been instrumental in the development of Parakiore since project inception, and after years of mahi, our specialist water services team's work is almost complete, and the Wai fun is about to start!
A project of this magnitude required multiple partnerships, contractors, human resources, and specialist Aquatic products to run a sustainable, efficient, and bather-friendly aquatic water space. We believe the combined efforts of many have achieved "Excellence in Aquatics”; however, the wider Ĺtautahi Community will be the final judge.
